  3. Introduction
  4. With the Multi Style II XT text can be automatically fitted with typographic specifications. Multi Style II XT is a must for every person dealing with tables, ads, catalogs, brochures and other complex formatting activities. Once the typographic variations (multistyles) have been defined, they can be easily copied and swiftly applied onto unformatted text.

  14. What is a multistyle?
  15. In a multistyle text attributes can be defined for one or more words and one or more paragraphs. It is even possible to specify various formatting styles within words and/or paragraphs. The various text styles can be applied in one single action onto unformatted text. Multi Style II XT analyses the new text and applies the created multistyle based on (sub)field separators.

  17. In QuarkXPress 4.0 it is also possible to apply a style per word, but not when you want to apply various styles within one or more words/paragraphs ‘in one simple action’.

  19. How to install
  20. To install the Multi Style II XT, simply drag the Multi Style II XT icon into your QuarkXPress XTension folder and (re)launch QuarkXPress. QuarkXPress will then automatically recognize and activate the Multi Style II XT.

  22. Try before you buy!!
  23. Multi Style II XT comes as a demonstration version, which means it can only be used for a couple of days. During this period, you will be able to discover the full power of Multi Style II XT.
  24. To obtain a fully working version, you should contact your XTensions™-dealer to acquire a key code.
  25. Having entered the correct key code, this demonstration of Multi Style II XT will change into a fully working version. You should then make a backup copy and keep it in a safe place.
  26. Before installation of the key code, the message “Demo” will appear on the startup screen. Once personalized, the QuarkXPress serial number will appear.

  29. Since the functionalities of Multi Style II XT remain identical, this XTensions-module is also valid for users of QuarkCopyDesk.
